Whispering Pines Golf exists for the purpose of serving the Members and Organizations that  support the World Health and Golf Association and First Tee Program.
All rules of the Club may be changed from time to time, at the discretion of the Management and Owner.  The Members of the WHGA will be informed of any rule changes.
It is the responsibility of each Member to inform all guests of the Club rules prior to their visiting the Club.  The Management and Staff of Whispering Pines Golf Club have been given direct authority to enforce all Club rules.

Age Restrictions
No children under the age of seven (7) years are permitted on Whispering Pines property.
Children of ages seven (7) through twenty-one (21) must be accompanied by an adult at all times while on Whispering Pines property.
No one under the age of twenty-one (21) is permitted to stay in the cottages.
You must be at least 22 years of age or older to become a member at Whispering Pines Golf Club.

Conduct

Members of the Club are responsible for the character and conduct of any persons whom they invite on to the Club premises.  A Member must accompany all guests.

Members are responsible to educate their guests on Whispering Pines rules and regulations and ensure they follow these set guidelines.

Harassment, sexual or otherwise, of Club staff will not be permitted. Sexual harassment includes, but is not limited to, unwelcome sexual advances, verbal or physical conduct of a sexual or similarly offensive nature, offensive comments, jokes, innuendoes and other sexually oriented statements.

Language should be non-offensive.

SMOKING IS PROHIBITED IN ALL AREAS ON PROPERTY. We are currently under a BURN BAN because of the drought conditions here in East Texas.

Children

A parent must accompany children under the age of 22.

Children are considered to be guests of the Member and will be governed by all rules.

Children must remain within control of their parents.

Children of members over the age of 22 do not have membership privileges under their parent’s account. They will be listed as guests and governed as such.

Dress Code

All Members and guests at the Club must wear acceptable attire at all times. 

Golf slacks or skirt; golf shorts that are at least seventeen inches long and/or cut four inches above the knee; men’s shirts must have a collar; women’s blouses must have either sleeves or a collar.  Shirtsmust be tucked in when on the golf course or at the practice facilities.

Denim jeans or shorts are not acceptable.

Appropriate golf shoes are to be worn on the golf course.  Steel spikes and spiked heels are not permitted.

Barefoot play is not permitted.

Guests

A guest may use the Club only when escorted by a Member.

Any one guest may visit the Club a maximum of four times per calendar year.

Employees

Members or guests shall not reprimand, demean, or curse employees of the Club.  Any employee’s misconduct or a complaint about any employee should be reported to the General Manager.

Employees of the Club shall not be sent off the Club’s premises by Members or guests without the express permission of the Manager on Duty.

 

Hours of Operation

To maintain operating efficiency, the Golf House will be open the following hours.  The Golf House will remain open beyond the 6:00pm time frame whenever golfers are present.

Golf

General

A Member must accompany any guest for golf or practice at the Club.

An Individual, National, or Patron Member may only bring a maximum of 7 guests per visit.  A Corporate Member may have up to 7 guests per Corporate Designee present.

The course is open Wednesday through Sunday.

All Members and guests must check in with the Golf Shop.

Payment for golf is due at the time of check in.

Fishing and Hunting on Club Property

No hunting is permitted on Club Property.

Fishing in the lakes is permitted by Members, their families and guests only when the Club is open.

No swimming is permitted in the Club lakes.

WP Employees will help the Member receive instruction on the permissible fishing areas.

Golfers always have the right of way in on-course fishing areas.

Starting Times and Group Outings

Tee time reservations must be made in advance.

Caddie and dining arrangements must be made in advance.

Groups larger than 32 players will be restricted to Mondays or Tuesdays.  Please see General Manager for further details on the Monday and Tuesday’s Outings.

Caddies and Carts

Golf Carts are included in the price of the golf round.

Caddie and Fore Caddie gratuities are additional to the cost of the round.

Caddies are available on a first come first serve basis.

Please make caddie reservations at least 72 hours in advance of tee time.

Rules Governing Golf Cart Use

Maximum of two (2) persons and two (2) golf bags shall occupy the golf cart at any time.

The operator of any golf cart must be at least 18 years old and have a valid Driver License.

The operator will drive responsibly, observe any property/golf signage, and drive no closer than thirty (30) feet from any green, ground under repair, water or any other hazardous area.

Any property damage or personal injury caused to or by a golf cart while the golf cart is in the care and control of the operator, shall be the responsibility of the operator.

Locker Rooms

Lockers are for day use only.

All contents will be removed by the Club at the end of each day.

The Club does not accept responsibility for any items stored in the lockers or locker rooms.

Food and Beverage

Food and Beverages are not permitted to be brought on to property other than Wine for consumption at the Cottages.

Members and Guests are responsible for Food and Beverage charges at the time of service.

No alcohol will be permitted to leave the property.

Wine brought to the cottages for personal consumption may not be taken from the cottages to any other area of the club or property.

The Club will not serve an alcoholic beverage to a person less than twenty-one years of age or to a person that is deemed to be intoxicated.

Reservations are required for dinner service. The Chef must have your dinner reservations by 4pm of the day of dining.  Please make arrangement when scheduling your golf tee times.

Parking

Parking is to be in designated parking areas only.

Recreational Vehicles may only be parked on property with prior authorization from the General Manager.

Pets

Domestic pets are not permitted on Club property.

Property

Club property may not be removed from the Club premises without specific permission from the General Manager, obtained in advance.  Any Club property damaged or lost by a Member or guest shall be paid for by such Member.  This includes wash towels and grooming products.

The Club will not, under any circumstances, be responsible for property of Members, guests, or other persons brought on Club premises for any purpose whatsoever.

The parking of automobiles for Members, guests, or others is done as a courtesy.  The Club assumes no responsibility for such automobiles, damage thereto or property left therein.


The Village at Whispering Pines is a perfect destination for a weekend getaway, corporate retreat, or family get together. The cottages are professionally decorated and furnished to compliment the beautiful surroundings at Whispering Pines. With a variety of recreational activities from bass fishing to sunset cruises on Lake Livingston, The Village at Whispering Pines is the perfect weekend retreat.

The cottages consist of 4 bedrooms with 2 beds in each room.  They come equipped with full kitchens and laundry facilities. Your cottage room rate is for the use of the cottage and carts that are staged at the cottage.  All food and beverage and recreational activities have a la carte pricing so that you can modify your experience to meet your expectations.

 

The rates for the cottages are as follows:

One room guest suite…$275 per night (does not include kitchen, dining room and living area)

·Three room cottage…$625 per night (two bedrooms upstairs, one bedroom downstairs, kitchen, dining room and living area)

Full cottage…$900 per night (two bedrooms upstairs, two bedrooms downstairs, kitchen, dining room and living area)

Recreational activity fees:

Fishing …………………………no charge for village guests

Canoeing ……………………….no charge for village guests

Bicycling ……………………….no charge for village guests

 


The Village at Whispering Pines Rules and Regulations

Reservations

Reservations are accepted Monday through Friday.  A credit card will be required to confirm all reservations.

 

Cancellation Policy

Any reservation made inside 10 days of the reserved date must be cancelled 48 hrs prior to the reserved date to avoid charges.  

 

Guest Suite, 3 Room, or One Cottage: All reservations must be cancelled 30 days in advance to avoid a 100% forfeiture of funds

 

Two or Three Cottages: All reservations must be cancelled 45 days in advance to avoid 100% forfeiture of funds.

 

Four Cottages: All reservations must be cancelled 60 days in advance to avoid 100% forfeiture of funds.

 

Check-in

Guests may check in no earlier than 3:00 p.m. the day of their reservation.  With the exception of special events, no golf facilities or services are available for Tuesday arrivals.

Check-out

Guests must vacate their rooms and/or cottage no later than 11:00 a.m.

 

Limits on Cottage Reservations

A National or Individual member may not have more that 2 bookings at any one time.

A Corporate member may not have more that 3 bookings at any one time.

 

Age Restrictions

No person under the age of 21 is permitted in the cottages.

 

Maximum Occupancy

Cottages may only be occupied by a maximum number of people equal to the number of beds in the rented space.
