HELPFUL TIPS
Provided for Guests of Corporate Members and Spirit Sponsors

Reservation and Guests Policies

• A Whispering Pines Golf Club® Corporate Member or Spirit Sponsor must accompany you on your visit to our property, and they must make the reservations and tee times.

A Member will be limited to host 7 guests (2 foursomes) per visit. This will assist us in having adequate member representation on the course and preserve the wonderful golfing experience you love.

We allow Children over the age of 7 to accompany a parent to play golf, but Whispering Pines Golf Club® is a facility that does not allow children under the age of 21 to stay overnight in the cottages.

Check-In Procedures

Once you check in through the Guard Gate, a Whispering Pines Golf Club® employee will meet you at the Cottage to help you unload your luggage. If you are visiting on a day trip, you will drive to the Golf House and use the Bag Drop by the range to drop off your golf clubs.

Golf Operations Tips

The Golf Course opens at 8:00am, therefore we do not allow golf to begin before 8am.

We do not expect Pace of Play to exceed 4½ hours.

• Any member or guest playing golf must check in first with the Pro Shop!  This also includes any extra holes or an extra 18 holes.

• The Host of the outing must also accompany the group while playing golf.

We have some wonderful fishing holes. If you enjoy fishing, please bring your fishing pole and tackle.

As a guest playing golf in a group, we will assign you at least a Fore Caddy to help locate your golf ball and assist you in reading the greens. You may request a Full Service Caddy to carry your bag if you want a true golf experience. A Fore Caddy receives a minimum of $25 per bag, and a Full Service Caddy receives $75 a bag.

Dress Code and Club Rules

WP does not allow blue jeans on our Golf Course.

We ask that you help us to continue a wonderful working environment by treating our employees with respect. If they do not perform to your expectations, please contact a Manager. We do not tolerate anyone abusing our employees on any level.

We do not allow Smoking in the Cottages or the Golf House.  If you smoke on the course, please put your cigarette butts inside the golf cart and not on our course.  Help us to keep our course beautifully maintained.

We do accept Cash, Checks and all major Credit Cards (Amex, Visa, MC, Discover).  The charges for the Cottages, Golf Rounds, and Food and Beverage must go on the Member's account.

Food and Beverage Tips

We allow our members and their guests to bring their own wine to the cottages, but the wine must stay in the cottages to comply with the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission. WP can provide you with beer and hard liquor for your Cottage.  Our Golf House provides you with a full-service bar for your dining pleasures.

You can choose to cook for yourselves down at the Cottage.  You may provide your own entree (i.e. Fish, Steak, etc.) but the rest of the meal must be provided by Whispering Pines.

We provide complimentary water and sodas located around the Golf Course.

Every Game of Golf Deserves a Great Platform
A USGA Course Rating is the USGA's evaluation of the playing difficulty of a course for scratch golfers under normal course and weather conditions for the purpose of providing a uniform basis on which to issue USGA Handicap Indexes. It is expressed as strokes taken to one decimal place, and is based on yardage and other obstacles to the extent that they affect the scoring ability of a scratch golfer.  [ + ]
